Those Bloomin' Jingly Bells
Watch on YouTube:
Yes, folks - another version of Jingle Bells! This time I have jazzed it up with lots of syncopation and fun rhythms - in fact, this version has a distinct "Ragtime" feel to it.

I have created three versions - each one getting a little harder:
Version 1: Easiest
Version 2: Medium difficulty
Version 3: Hardest.

Play along to the backing track or the piano accompaniment.

A new version of an old classic

It's full of syncopation... what is that??
Syncopation is the accenting of a musical note which would usually not be accented, and is often described as being "off beat".

The time signature of a piece of music gives an indication of a regular pattern of strong and weak beats.

A syncopated rhythm goes against this pattern by putting the accent on weak beats.

Listen to the Hardest version:
When you’re listening to a piece of music, you might tap your foot to the beat. As you do, your foot is feeling the STRONG beats. If the music features accented beats in-between the strong beats - well, that's syncopation, or syncopated rhythms.

Tap, tap to the beat ......

Three levels of difficulty ...

The difficulty levels range from really quite hard (Grade 6 upwards) down to about grade 3 standard.

The easiest version doesn't have much syncopation, so there's a version for most flute players.

All versions are played to the same backing track or piano accompaniment.
